Despite the disappointment of going behind late on I still felt we would go on and give it a go. But I was taken back by just how calm and composed we stayed, measured against the boss on the sidelines who never panics. I feel like were constantly comparing back to moyes' days but sometimes its difficult not to especially when the whole mentality is so different. Nobodies heads dropped and we could have gone on to win it. I'm so so buzzing watching us at the moment. We took on the best side in the league this season and more than matched them in every department.

Couple of side points, Jagielka is at the top of his game right now. By far the best english centre half and im proud of him as captain. Seems to be really taking it on, top top bloke. Also, I thought the McCarthy booking was really harsh. Webb pandered to the crowd a lot at times today but I suppose goodison can make refs do silly things sometimes. Anyway, maybe its good he's out for a home an 'easier' home game than an away. Speaking of, we have to go and beat fulham now. It will make those last 2 results look even more impressive IMO.

Thats telling, really really telling. The clear psychological block of going to these clubs albeit first attempt is certainly fading. We have turned up and tried, thats all we've ever wanted. Even when City beat us!

i've got to be honest, i thought it would have taken a lot longer for him to get it in the players' mentality to get over the "**** themselves" that moyes installed into them. we were very unlucky against probably the most fearsome side at home in the world atm in man city as well, let's not forget.

i knew martinez would make us have a go more and try and win more, but it's brilliant to see it reap so many rewards so soon.

Agreed, Webb was a spineless pr*ck and all of our bookings - Deolofeu's aside - bordered on the scandalous, time-wasting for Howard and a clean winning tackle for McCarthy especially.

Our midfield was just spectacular. Barkley, Barry, McCarthy, Pienaar brilliant

The bravery was why I always loved Martinez, since long before we were in for him. I loved the notion that he didn't care how many goals they conceded, didn't care how many bollockings MOTD gave him, he wanted Mike Pollit and Gary Caldwell to play it out from the back and nothing less was good enough. That bravery was amazing.

He's now being rewarded by the rocks we have in defence, and the great spirit amongst our players and their willingness to adapt to his methods. We have been perfect for one another.

Delafeou. Nothing to do with Moyes.

Lukaku. Nothing to do with Moyes.

Oviedo. Never really played by Moyes.

Barkley. Never really played by Moyes.

Jelavić played into the ground by Moyes.

Etc

yes, but again you demonstrate a lack of anything resembling comprehension.

The original statement was "moyes has NOTHING to do with what is happening at Everton"

I didn't respond by saying "moyes has EVERYTHING to do with what is happening at Everton" - i just said the first statement wasn't totally accurate.

You pointing out some things which Moyes doesn't have anything to do with (or... sort of, given that two of the players you mentioned were bought by Moyes and another was brought into the first team by him) is utterly irrelevant... much like yourself.

Roberto is getting arguably more out of these players than Moyes managed to do (certainly in recent years) but to say he's got nothing to do with how we're doing when he built 80-90% of the squad is ridiculous.

That said, I'm delighted that's the ONLY thing he now has to do with Everton. Viva Bobby

Arsenal should win the league this year. They didn't play that well and still took a point, almost all 3. Has echoes of United last season, when they don't play well they still pick up points.

We've got to be in with a shout of top 4 - Southampton have dropped like a stone, Spurs really don't have enough this year for me, United, unless they buy well in Jan wont be in with a shout, and the ****e rely so much on Suarez. If he goes/gets injured for a while they're out the race.
