Forget any conspiracy, does anyone honestly believe Ferguson announcing to his club and Moyes that he was retiring months before the end of the season would have been kept secret from January til May when it was coming out as strong rumours then announced? Bull****! Not a chance in hell could something that big have stayed private for so long. The timeline that Moyes has said, that he was approached at the start of May, and within a week it was being rumoured in the papers that Fergie was retiring is the only situation that makes sense. Moyes ran his last contract down and then signed, he seemed to be doing the same again until May.

I'm not worried. Nor upset. Nor bitter. I'm angry that he took the p*** out of a club that he supposedly cared for. He earned fantastically well and was given 100% control. We stuck with him in the low times and I can't help feeling his insistence of waiting to sign a contract once he sees how much cash he has in January or how well the players do til the end of the season was absolute bull****.
He ran down his contract and as such we missed out on a compensation figure.
