Clutching at straws tbh. The club lost Thelwell and Purdy because of Moyes who recruited James Smith to replace them. He clearly refused a lot of players, and selected others. Ultimately he’s responsible for the summer transfers.

Moyes's fingerprints are all over our recruitment. The idea that he is not massively responsible for who we sign is for the birds. Obviously, the club hierarchy is ultimately in charge, but there can be no free pass for a manager who has the level of control David Moyes has. If Moyes is against a player, he won't be signed. Simple as that. That's what "final say" means. So, it's time people started to hold Moyes accountable for the performances and his handling of our new signings - and the club responsible for Moyes's performance.

That's why he was so supportive of kenwright, because despite limited funds kenwright afforded him full autonomy in most recruitment situations except when those Chinese players were foisted on the club due to kenwright's wacky business deals.

So if the CEO just went out and hired Moyes mate and has ceded control of all recruitment to Moyes and everyone says it's crap does the CEO deserve to be criticized for those decisions?

Or do we just blame Moyes for everything and call it a day?

Why hire these people if Moyes is having the final word? This is like the head chef deciding the customers coming into the restaurant are not good enough.
