American Food

I'll get my mum to compete for me. She is one of those master baker types and a dab hand above anyone else I know in the kitchen.
Kind of jealous. No one in my family really knows how to bake, especially me. I dated a guy from Leceister for awhile and he always outdid me when it came to baking. Only thing I really bring to the table is diverse cuisine. I am half-Chinese and half-Israeli and both my parents are great cooks. Never went hungry growing up.

Oh they can, maybe not sophisticated stuff but good homely cooking they do extremely well.

Breakfasts in America, lunch in Italy and dinner in France is the perfect combination.

Best breakfast I've ever had was at the Pancake Shop in Hot Springs, AR. They also have one in NY, but I reckon you'll see neither unless you like hot spring baths and race horses. @RAFUH @Hellerad

Yeah, I need to get to that one, I've seen it, just haven't gotten over to Fremont to try it out.

I want to be specific when I say I miss BBQ - I miss NC BBQ - preferably Eastern NC BBQ (although Piedmont style is wholly underappreciated). That's a super rare thing anywhere but NC, I realize that. But I miss it's vinegary delight. KC/Memphis/Texas BBQ? Meh, that's fine, but it's not my jam.

Even as long as I've lived here, I still can't think of it as BBQ, but it is dang good.

What's wrong with maple syrup? Behind Tim Hortons, maybe Canada's best product.

Ask one of them, I freakin love it.

For some reason British tastebuds struggle with salty and sweet in the same bite...ie maple syrup and butter.

My best friend is an Englishman. Reece's Peanut Butter Cups literally make him vomit. What's not to like about chocolate and peanut butter?
