Lets have a round of applause for GRAVY

Oh they can, maybe not sophisticated stuff but good homely cooking they do extremely well.

Breakfasts in America, lunch in Italy and dinner in France is the perfect combination.
I wasn't expecting you to get caught in that net mate.....


They do lardiness extremely well, but if doesn't involve a deep fat fryer, batter or kilos of processed meat they get a bit lost, bless 'em......
 
Salmon tacos:

4 salmon fillets (blackened)
1/4 head of cabbage (shredded)
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon of chipotle pepper purée
1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice
1/4 cup parsley or cilantro (finely chopped)
Salsa
2 cut lime wedges
Soft taco shells

Grill the salmon fillets and let them cool. Combine the mayonnaise, pepper purée, and lime juice in a small bowl. Flavor with salt if necessary.

Flake the salmon fillets, then spread the chipotle mayonnaise over the taco shell, and top with the cabbage, cilantro, and salsa.
 
Let's make sure we don't confuse our friends from across the pond since these are two very different gravies.

The one on the chicken (equally good on a chicken fried steak) is simply gravy and pepper.

The one on the biscuits has loads of sausage in it.


Not in my house. The best is made from the drippings in the pan after the steak is done. You want all those bits.
