American Food

Ffs, an entire page with no food.

(biscuit with fried chicken, sausage gravy, fried egg and cheese)

Oh God yes. And I'm not even hungry.

Cane's sauce; it's very good with their chicken. Probably @RAFUH could tell you what's in it (or guess very closely), but I just know it's what comes with the chicken. I don't like their fries/chips, too thin for me, but they work well with the other offerings.

*Just realized, no pizza--that's Texas Toast. Buttery and soft, it works well to balance the chicken with the thin, dry fries/chips.

That Cane's sauce is a lot like the shrimp sauce you get down at the local chopsocky Japanese steak house, I'll bet... That's big 'ol Texas Toast, cause, well, big... Texas... get it? It's so big you get Texas toast even if you're not in Texas. That's how big it is.

What kind of maladjusted toddler refuses to eat tomato? I bet you're one of those who slathers ketchup all over everything, aren't you? AREN'T YOU!!?

Raw tomatoes are HORRENDOUS! The taste and texture is just :barf:

That said I LOVE ketchup. Just made myself dinner...tortellini in a tomato and meat sauce. It was boss.

Raw though...*shudders*

You can't tell me that cheddar, bacon, and lettuce between two slices of bread doesn't sound heavenly.

Used to be the same but homegrown heirloom tomatoes taste so good, especially on bruschetta.

It certainly does sound heavenly. It's just that it's even better with some nice raw tomato slices.

But the cheese is good and Madison has a better-than-average cross country team, so there.

Nothing makes up for a third of my year for almost every year of my life being lost in frozen, white hell.

Might as well should have been. Picked someone she had relations with a decade earlier up at an airport for $60, wound up [Poor language removed] them in the back of her car en route.

That drive to O'Hare sure is romantic, let me tell you.

Up here in Duval, that's how we pronounce 'em both.

Viy-enna Georgia. (not Vee-enna) Same goes for Viy-enna sausage, for that matter.

That's silly. The sausages are a reference to Vienna/Wien, Austria/Österreich. Being a German speaker in America can be maddening sometimes, like there's a street in my neighborhood called Bremen, but everybody pronounces it Breh-men instead of Bray-men, like the 3rd largest city in Germany that it's named after.

Another funny one, the state of Oregon is Ore-gen, but Oregon, WI is pronounced Ore-gahn.

Anyway, too much South in here. Have some fried cheese curds.

Call us silly and offer us deep fried food. You know how to make a friend down south. I've got to try those sometime.
