Nope. Not here. Never happen.

He could hit a little bit. Now and then.

Was listening to ESPN Radio earlier...they had Pedro Martinez on. He said that Edgar was his least favorite batter to face. Pretty amazing considering it's a righty on righty matchup. Gar was the man...shame he'll likely not make it into the hall.

Don't get me started on the hall. Ronnie Santo had to die to get in the hall. (spits)

self-edit - we're dangerously off-topic here, btw. Stopping this direction - would need its own thread. (nods to mods)

I've just been to lunch today at Perry's, this is what I had:

Pork Chop for lunch!! They cut it into 3 - the Ribs; The Eyelash (the bit with the lime on it) and the fillet (at the back) - on Friday's it's on special for $13.95!! Comes with mash potatoes and apple sauce - absolutely delicious!! Every last bit.

There's typically 3 'ribs' on the lunch menu, but 5 of the buggers on the regular menu - it's an obscene amount of food but awesome!

Just got a beef delivery to our freezer and the ribs come in singles. Never cooked ribs before (but I have other credentials for my Americanness, step back), would appreciate all suggestions for how to prepare and cook these.

This may be the summer I buy a smoker and learn this trade. I've got some brisket and loads more beef to play with.

Low and slow for those shortribs, SN. Roast 'em off with some good root veg like a hotpot.

Get yourself a smoker - start out with a simple "garbage can" style, or get one with a smoke box, doesn't matter, but you too can make magic happen with meat and smoke. Talk to your friends and I'll bet you'll find at least two expert pitmasters in your part of the world. Bring beer, a smoker, wood/charcoal, and meat. Get schooled. You live in prime 'cue country.

Almost everything tastes better after it comes out of a smoker.
