It's still 95k a week in tax that, but your right, nobody needs to be earning 95k a week after tax. 10k is enough for anyoneMy missus is a nurse here in Canada and I tried to talk her into moving to Liverpool with me but the state of the NHS made it a non-starter.
It is an utter pisstake what's going on with the NHS. Footballers wages aren't to blame, it's the tax system and people not paying a fair share when they make astronomical figures like that.
I've no problem with someone making 190k a week so long as it gets taxed to death to support the rest of society that is paying for that wage.
A ridiculous argument that has been done to death. It has already been tried and it doesn't work.My missus is a nurse here in Canada and I tried to talk her into moving to Liverpool with me but the state of the NHS made it a non-starter.

So everyone should only be paid however much somebody says that they "need" to earn? And just who decides that? It's still 95k a week in tax that, but your right, nobody needs to be earning 95k a week after tax. 10k is enough for anyone
Binman on same as messiSo everyone should only be paid however much somebody says that they "need" to earn? And just who decides that?
Who said anything about controlling how much they get paid? Pay them what you want but tax it big time.So everyone should only be paid however much somebody says that they "need" to earn? And just who decides that?
what gets me is when a player won't move because the buying club can't afford the wages. I don't know what your average Premiership player would get, but a rough guess is a two year contract would set you up for life and you'd never need to worry again. why would wages be an issue ??.
Bale is pricing himself out of most moves because nobody can afford him, ffs he could play for nothing at this stage.

I was answering this post:Who said anything about controlling how much they get paid? Pay them what you want but tax it big time.
Or do you not like taxes and nurses mate?
And where in my post did I suggest I didn't like nurses, or anyone for that matter. What I don't like is anyone trying to tell someone else that they are getting paid too much because it's none of their business how much anyone else gets paid. It's just envy. It's still 95k a week in tax that, but your right, nobody needs to be earning 95k a week after tax. 10k is enough for anyone
was it not done in one of the US's most success periods economicallyA ridiculous argument that has been done to death. It has already been tried and it doesn't work.
I'm with you on the tax system being unfair. This is because it has become so complicated it has become riddled with loopholes that can be exploited by those with enough money to employ a tax accountant. A simpified system would bring some fairness into the system. Not really.
A fair taxation system usnt what we have and I'm not sure it has been.
The nurse gets taxed at source and pays the full whack.
The wealthy footballer/actor/musician pays an account to end up paying less percentage wise then a nurse.
I don't mind anyone earning a huge wage but I'd like them to pay as much in tax percentage wise as anybody else
