ALLARDYCE - Any positives

lets be real here . every club he has been at the fans have been happy with what he did for them.
Bolton fans love him , Newcastle fans say he is the best they have had since keegan.
palace west ham and sunderland fans say they wouldn't be prem clubs without him and that he turned bad players into a decent team that ground out results. ive also heard that when he left the players turned crap again.

then look at the players themselves. the better players were given back the belief that they can perform , he gave average players the belief that they can compete and aging players that they could still do a job.

many an ex player say they loved playing for him and I cant think of one who have a bad word to say about him.

he is clearly a motivator and good at man management.

this is possibly his last job in football and he will have a point to prove , he will give it his all. he has taking everton to an fa cup final written all over him imo. vault me on it.

Utter lies mate, Newcastle fans reckoned the bloke they hounded out after less than 6 months was better than Bobby Robson did they, he was absolutely detested up their by the barcodes.
West Ham hounded him out as well as he had stagnated them around 12th and the team was full of dross (no change obviously since then)

In fairness though Newcastle and West Ham hounded him out and have fared no better since he left a bit like Charlton getting rid of Curbishley. They have a level and BFS reached that and kept them at it, they got greedy for more with silly expectations. As for Blackburn after they got rid well...

Can he take us on, no idea. He probably has more resources and as good a squad of players as he has ever had though and he will organise our defence. Still wouldn't have been my choice but he is here now so we need to get behind him.

Oh yeah and remained me how that went for Newcastle after Allardyce left mate? Did they get better or did they stumble along for a season or two getting worse and worse then get relegated? (Which they followed up with a second relegation a few years later). How about West Ham since Big Sam left? They aren't exacally setting the world alight these days are they?! He "stagnated" them around 12th did he? Lol, they'd sell their souls as a club for a 12th place finish right now!

my best mate is a hammer and I work with a die hard Newcastle fan.
both say he took over crap , made them better , kept them in the prem and the teams got worse again after he left.
there has also been a lot of callers from both clubs on the radio this past week saying the same.

on bobby robson , a chat I had a long time ago. the Newcastle fan loved him but said the players he bought in were pretty much a let down and it was tough finding much to shout about beyond shearer.

No offence mate but you’re charting bollocks, or at least your Newcastle mate is.

He took over a decent Newcastle side and turned them into relegation candidates, then got sacked before they went down.

Can’t imagine what he will do to the likes of Schneiderlin and Mirallas. They wont last 5 minutes. Surely he’ll tell them to do one.
Dunno. He might get Mirallas firing in his snide mode. Not pretty but could be effective. Schneiderlin has fallen off a cliff - if he can resurrect his career then my cap will be doffed.

Bollocks mate, it's a good job worth 6.5m per year to take a team in 13th and 2 points off 9th place up to tenth?

If we must have this cretin at the club, why don't we actually set and demand a target befitting the salary he is being paid - seriously looking at some comments when we appointed him, people acted like 17th would be an achievement and he should be given plaudits if he kept us up.

Set him the goal of overtaking Burnley and Watford at least if your optimistic about him.
Why would Allardyce care about targets set by forum fans? He'll have his own targets, and they're almost certainly
different from yours.

A full season later when Keegan had fallen out with their board and Joe Kinnear had been in charge.OK you hate Allerdyce but your trying to re-write history a bit there.

Blood and guts. Simple organisation, players like working with big sam as tactically everyone has a 'role'. Exactly what those players need. Onward blues ;)

well ive just spoke to him :)

he says you clearly are not a newcastle fan . the rot started with glen roader the season before , sam took over a poor squad that had only won 2 or 3 games since the start of the year . he says they had good strikers but the rest of the squad were aging or bang average journey men who couldn't care less about the club.

keegan won less games that season than allardyce too, even though they stayed up. the club were relegated the season after sam left.

he says the issue wasn't the managers but completely at board room level between sheppard and then ashley.

Mate he was terrible at Newcastle, bought a shed-load of utter dross and over the hill players, loaded the club down massively with those players wages who they couldn't shift out, and when he was sacked they where in as bad a run of results if not worse than when we just sacked Koeman.

As for West Ham - season after he left they posted their best ever premier league season by a mile, qualified for Europe and had a chance at 4th up until the last 2 games of the season... then the season after got train-wrecked by all the payet stuff - and still finished 12th.

I know, literally, hundreds of their fans. Almost to a man they detest him. File alongside Pardew and McLaren.

Robson is on a par with Keegan in terms of respect with Benitez by far the next popular. After that it's Hughton and Roeder.
