ALLARDYCE - Any positives

If tonight's anything to go by they wanted to perform for him. Whether it was because it was Unsys last game or not but having Sam in the stands has got to at least give you a kick to impress
Makes me more annoyed they can't get themselves up for it for any other game.

I know we are all feeling pretty low right now and quite rightly too but are there any positives Sam's arrival?

I'll start with the obvious one, he's never got a team relegated and after Thursday and Sunday's awful showings relegation was a genuine concern.

any others?
Right this minute its hard to see a negative...no doubt that will change. But right now? Sound

He's the first manager we've had in years whose testicles won't try to crawl up into his belly when we play the RS. I'm not expecting anything from the derby this time round, it's too early, but I am hopeful that we won't lie down.
W, L or D, i hope the only thing lying down is them rs...even if it means sore knuckles and 4 red cards

I listened to some of the show he did with jim white on talksport. I was impressed with his views on psychology. If anything he'll get the player's heads right, and then hopefully things will improve

Spot on.

He was an early adopter of sport science in facilities and player health, nutrition and opta style money ball stats on players.

He's the one senior figure we need at a club in this transition period to a new ground. BK and Walsh are the frauds, not Sam.

This is the best team he’s ever managed or will manage. Bar his short stint as England boss this is the pinnacle of his career. So he may well surprise us. I think he will. I’d say top 7 is still on and if he does that surely he stays on another season. Certainly he got to the players heads yesterday. He’s also a hands on manager which is very far removed from the last 2 clowns we had in here. I seriously doubt if he will tolerate the likes of Schneiderlin or mirallas.

Good luck Sam prove the doubters who turn their noses up at you wrong.

I'm cautiously optimistic about him. Our team is by far the best he's ever had. If he can drag us to top 10 he's done a good job.

Bollocks mate, it's a good job worth 6.5m per year to take a team in 13th and 2 points off 9th place up to tenth?

If we must have this cretin at the club, why don't we actually set and demand a target befitting the salary he is being paid - seriously looking at some comments when we appointed him, people acted like 17th would be an achievement and he should be given plaudits if he kept us up.

Set him the goal of overtaking Burnley and Watford at least if your optimistic about him.

Funny how people are questioning his recruitment. Look at the players our last two bosses brought in. Also, has he ever been anywhere with resources? Think this could be interesting in a good way.
I'll be fascinated to see who he goes after in January and those he doesn't want in his squad.
