Chance has gone this season.

There’s absolutely no way all of Chelsea Liverpool Spurs Newcastle and Forest are all completely hopeless next season.

Arsenal City and United will be top 3. Alonso will improve Chelsea (hard not to) Spurs can’t be worse, Villa will still be there. There’ll be a load of traffic to wade through to try and get Europe next season whereas it was on a literal plate this season and we actively avoided it.

We have to hope Bournemouth, Brighton and Sunderland fall off with their European commitments because you're right that a lot of those teams that underperformed will invest this summer and move in the right direction. Feel like we say it every time but we need this transfer window to be spot on.

It goes beyond the manager imo however his demeanour, his attitude, simply amplifies it and sadly is probably far from alone in the way he thinks.

The current owners have done little from what I can see to change a loser mentality and culture.

It sums it up when we play a team , a promoted team, who beat us at home in a truly tepid performance, go above us and then the following week they win again to seal a European place when for us , more and more the signals were Europe is possibly beyond us when clearly it was not.

Something is wrong, off about the place and I think some people especially ex players and media know more about that than they let on but won’t disclose it .

I worry a decent manager or promising young manager would face the same kind of issues, trying to improve a team and change the way the club is at the same time and face the same inevitable failures.

I didn't want to be an out, I was so pleased with how the results went when he came back last season.

But this season has been a massive disappointment. You can only say that we've regressed.

Whatever is going on, it's not working. We need a change

Even we have been roughly around 13th the last few years (purely on-field performance pre any points deductions) you’d think that making progress even in an 18 month spell from 13th upwards wouldn’t have been too hard.

Clearly this has proven harder than we realised, so thanks for replacing Dyche (which was needed at the time) but you’re not the man to take us forward as there has been no progress and it looks as though you don’t work particularly well with the recruitment team.

I'd be amazed and disappointed if the leadership weren't considering the managerial options this summer.

Moyes has done a good job in his time here, but it feels like he's served his purpose.
The Sunderland manager has done a good job on £1.5 mil a season Moyes on £5 mil a season has not done a good job, even Dyche did what Moyes has done and he is an awful manager who has stolen a living out of football

Sunderland were just promoted and are above us and in Europe. We’re not. This is why fans are disappointed.

DCL left Everton for Leeds, a promoted side, two points behind us. DCL stagnated here and scored 14 this year. This is why fans are disappointed.

Nah the manager sets the tone and standard and if the players can't meet these standards then they are sold for one's that can. A manager who sets high standards doesn't give contract extensions to Keane and Mykolenko and the season before to Coleman and Doucoure who luckily turned the contract down

True however what I will say is that we have had so many managers in recent years and it’s the same stinking culture and messaging. Nothing changes in that respect . Something is fundamentally wrong there.

I really don’t think that’s nailed on at all, and I like their squad a lot. Hiring the interim manager is a bad idea. Hiring the interim manager because of improved results and worse overall play is a recipe for disaster.
Worse overall play? They look like scoring a hatful most games, and with 1-2 solid signings they’ll be right up there. No issues recruiting as they are still considered a massive club and they have Champions League next season.
