I honestly think what Dyche did was more impressive.
He took the job in January 2023. When he was appointed, I honestly thought we were down. We were 19th and our next game was Arsenal at home. We made no new signing that January and sold Gordon. For me, him keeping us up above Leicester in 2023 was a massive achievement for which he doesn’t get the respect he deserves.
The following season we have 2 separate points deductions and he has us comfortable.
Yes, things were poor last season, but he knew he was getting the boot a few months later, was a bit of a lame duck, and had no respect from the fans, and probably some of the players.
