Goes to show how impressive the season has gone given that many of the players we brought in haven't played whilst we lost, arguably, our two most important forward players and didn't look like relegation candidates once. A good summer window with 4-6 players coming in will have this team capable of competing. The ball is in TFG's court now. We need to see some ambition on the transfer front for us to do anything next season.

Yes I agree they can start with replacing him in the dugout

You don't think Glasner or Iraola to name 2 managers readily available would be a "better replacement"

Someone arguing with me earlier in the year tried to make out Glasner done a bad job last season by not getting top 10 in the league.

He claimed they had a top 10 squad and named Elise who was sold to Bayern the summer before the season. He also named Wharton who was signed two weeks before Glasner joined.

If Moyes replaced Hodgson, Wharton would have sat on the bench or got played on the wing.

Hodgson = Moyes

Negative Pragmatic managers

Did we ever look better when Alcarez played? Did we ever look better when Dibling was on the pitch?

Dibling played 350 mins this season / we judging him in that
Second point Yes we were much better when Alcaraz/ Armstrong and George came on yesterday

But they have played? Look at their respective threads for when they did actually play.
Yes but sadly that was a very long time ago and both players were thrown to the wolves coming on with 5 minutes to go sometimes.

After Christmas both haven't played anywhere near enough to judge if they're good or not whereas mcneil was allowed to consistently cost his team goals for weeks and weeks without consequence.

Ndiaye has needed a break for a while, everyone has been used as a right sided midfielder except our right sided midfielder.

What did he do in those 20 minutes? Remind yourself with his thread if you want.
I dont think he's great but it's 20 minutes over about 4 matches

That's setting any player up to fail. And the team hasn't been picked on merit in recent months.

My main 2 arguments are Armstrong in midfield and playing an actual RB because O Brien is out of his depth in that position. Keane Tarkowski duo doesn't work. It's a failed Burnley combination.

Should we just start players when they're playing bad for the purposes of changing things for changes sake then?

O'Brien can't even mark a winger, and is constantly done on the turn - he's not the answer to our CB problem. Patterson is brainless and constantly caught out of position, and Garner is easily our most talented player and shouldn't be stuck slotting in at right back at this stage of his career.

I'm as annoyed as anyone about the way the season ended, but to pretend that there have been absolutely zero improvements on the pitch when we didn't have to look behind our backs at any point is farcical and devoid of any baring in truth.

Moyes consistently played Barry despite him not even managing a shot on target for what fell like half a season.

While I haven’t been impressed by Dibling in the short amount of time he’s played, I don’t think it’s fair to totally judge him on it being such a young lad.

This bares no truth in reality.

Last summer our departures had an average age of 30 years old. The club cleared out massive amounts of older players, including Young (40), Begovic (38), Doucoure (32), and a couple 28 year olds like DCL, Maupay, and Holgate.

The our arrivals had an average age of 23. The profile completely shifted toward the future, bringing in teenagers like Dibling and Aznou (19), alongside young talent like Barry (22), Rohl (23) and Carlos Alcaraz (22).
I was pleased that we did recruit younger players.

The problem is the majority didn’t play so either a) the manager didn’t want to trust young players or b) they were poor recruitments. Or a combination of both.

Irrespective of which it is we are unlikely to be seen as a great place for other young players to come this summer due to their limited time.

Why do you think Dibling didn't start? Geniune question.
Moyes is only person that can answer that .

If i were to speculate I would simply assume that moyes doesn't like him.

It cant be because hes made mistakes as ive pointed out that moyes has allowed this to consistently happen with others.

Its nothing to do with social media as he turned a blind eye to Barry and carried on playing him through mistakes and poor showing .

But dibling isn't alone either here , rohl , alcaraz , aznou, George, Armstrong, Patterson all could have contributed a lot more and couldn't have done any worse than some players that have been rendered undroppable.
