I know we are Everton fans so we wanted Senegal to win. But when you look at the rules the article 82 and 84 its hard to argue with the decision. Its the timing of it that is the issue. It should have been enforced before the trophy presentation

Imagine if teams everywhere walked off because of decisions that went against them we would never finish a match plus it’s petulant and childish.

Im not concerned about Morocco being awarded it but how long it took, not sure why it CAF so long to enforce its won rules.

It’s a farce and sets African football back decades from the officiating to the walk off to how the issue was handled post tournament.

Someone was telling me the referee under CAF rules doesn’t have the authority to declare the game a forfeit and has to come from CAF.

That’s strange in itself

I know we got players in our team who play for Senegal but a walk off is really poor and against the rules.

CAF themselves are amateurs and gave trump a playbook to use

At the end of the day the players who lifted the trophy and went out celebrating afterwards, had that feeling of winning a tournament. The Morocco players will have to engineer those emotions when they get their fake trophy presentation.

Hopefully they don't do anything until CAS hears the case, else could end up with another set of players who lifted the trophy and then had taken away from them. Shambles.

Absolute joke, I can’t see how this works from a practical sense. Unless you make this decision during or immediately after the game. To do this weeks later, after the trophy and medals were presented and the winners had a parade is just insane

Can see this being over turned if Senegal cba to appeal tbh. All a bit farcical as there was a strong case to abandon it and award Morocco winners on the night, but i wonder if Mane staying on the pitch might give them an opportunity to appeal.
It’s all nonsense of course as if they wanted to apply the letter of the law they could have there and then with the full executive board in the stadium and a 15 min wait to dwell on the appropriate course of action.
