You win a competition when the ref’s whistle blows and you raise the trophy in the stadium.

That’s the end of it. What’s said or done afterwards is meaningless.

They battled clear and obvious corruption to win the tournament, and no amount of corruption after the fact can strip that from them.

Really the decision should have been made to forfeit Senegal at the time the players walked off the pitch. Someone there and then should have known the rules and excercised them at the time.

I mean Infantino was there at the match, one of him or his team should have notified the referee of the rule if it is such. But to take it away 2 months later is farcical really, im not sure even Morocco would want to win it like this.

At the end of the day the players who lifted the trophy and went out celebrating afterwards, had that feeling of winning a tournament. The Morocco players will have to engineer those emotions when they get their fake trophy presentation.

Hopefully they don't do anything until CAS hears the case, else could end up with another set of players who lifted the trophy and then had taken away from them. Shambles.

I know we are Everton fans so we wanted Senegal to win. But when you look at the rules the article 82 and 84 its hard to argue with the decision. Its the timing of it that is the issue. It should have been enforced before the trophy presentation
