Someone like Guardiola would turn this kid into a world beater. If Sam is still here next season then this kid won't be, he won't let his career be ruined by the dinosaur

..he could learn a lot from watching Walcott. Walcott gets beyond his marker and attacks with purpose, he also takes up goalscoring positions when the ball is on the other side of the pitch. He’s uncomplicated, he uses his skill set to hurt the opposition. Lookman cuts inside, goes past defenders for fun but there’s often no purpose to it.

I agree that coaching can make him more effective. There’s lots of talented footballers who don’t fulfill their potential, there’s lots of talented footballers who don’t exploit the gift they’ve been given.

2 goals and 1 assist in 424 minutes for Leipzig so far

4 goals and 2 assists in 803 minutes for 2017/18 in total, only Prince Oumar has better stats than that

Nice article about Lookman here on the Bundesliga website, he was asked about his future again - can just tell he's waiting to see who our manager is before deciding if he should bail out or not!

Players that can take a snap shot (with either foot) with that amount of power are valuable. Add his elusiveness to the equation, and you have a mountain of potential. Maybe he needs some time centrally behind Tosun. He absolutely needs to be factored in to next years team.

Our collective failure this season, especially during Koeman time, is the failure to bring in any players capable of dribbling and carry the ball forward. The rest of the team are simply passer waiting for others to make things happen. Lookman onyekuro and Walcott are the only players capable of taking on such responsibility next season. If we sell Lookman and let onyekuro remains on loan for another season, we’ll be destroying what we have now and spending huge amount of money trying to sign a flair and creative dribbler. A manager who does not realise this should not be hire or continue to manage us at all
