Ademola Lookman

If we manage to get £28m for Lookman then that would be incredible business for a player that has flattered to deceive in a blue shirt.

He hasn't flattered to deceive, that's the thing.

He has performed as well as you'd expect a player of his age/experience to perform when given the chance under the past few regimes.

If he moves I really do just think it's a case of us getting a good fee for a player we're not really keen to selling. It's not like we're actively looking to get rid.

Any player who dreams of playing playground football in the bundesliga when they could become a regular in a top half premier league side needs to seriously reevaluate their ambitions.

This is also a stupid attitude, Tim.

Jadon Sancho is a great example of a young player who has taken the plunge to test himself, and he's a better player for it. At 18 he's one of the most promising players in Europe. He'd probably still be in the ressies at City, and Pep does give youth a chance, but look at their depth on the wings.

It's a bit different with Lookman but if he wants to test himself, who are we (as fans) to judge that England is better than Germany?

I hope he stays. The club are keen to keep him, but all along I've thought we probably do have a fee in mind and if it was met he'd go.

We already have Bernend there along with Richy and Theo. DCL might also play there if there is urgency.

If he doesn’t want to stay it’s fine. If he wants to he should have made that clear already.

I watched Leipzig games last year and the standard of the bundesliga was dire. The defending is appalling. It's so easy to score. It's like watching playground football. And it's an even bigger one horse race than the SPL.

He's entitled to want to play in Germany. Good luck to him if he goes. But I think it's a very poor career choice in the longer term.

It isn't dire, mate. There's some decent teams who play good footy. The defending isn't great but, lets face it, it isn't in the PL either.

Yeh, it's a one horse race, but there's huge teams and the fans are crazy.

And no, if he goes to Germany and tears it up, he'll be back in the Prem in no time at all. And my guess it would be at someone like Spurs. Which may be his long-term plan if he does go...

Just make sure there is a buy back clause but Lookman might not want to come back.

Very sad for me if he turns his back on us. In comparison to our club Leipzig is a nothing.

I like him & don’t want him to leave as think there is definitely a player there no doubt.

Did you see the tweet which said he was the most productive player in the German league after lewnadoski from the point he joined Leipzig. A statistician analysed it & from memory he didn’t play any minutes against the top 4 teams & often played against the weaker sides.

I’m not denegrating from his performances as they were clearly very good however all they did is what we should be doing & that’s managing his games & minutes.

The press have created a myth that we are holding him back it’s 2 games into a new season with a new manager & dof.

There is absolutely no way of knowing if he had started the season at Leipzig that he would have received any minutes yet, they may have integrated him gradually once again.

Personally I don’t believe they would still play him against the top teams as he is tactically naive & struggles defensively which is no doubt a product of him not going through an academy system, I actually believe that’s also somewhat a plus point as he hasn’t had the spontaneity coached out of him yet.

All in all let’s hope he stays and then once the window closes knuckles down he only has to look at Richarlison to see the area he can improve upon tactically.

RB shitezig are probably looking at him as a replacement for that Nabi whatever his name is who signed for the rs and what did they pay 50m + I'd ask for more but definitely have a first refusal on him as I see him being a top player in the years to come imo......

How is that? He scored one of the softest goals Ive ever seen against City and people thought him to be jesus, even tho he hasnt done anything in a blue shirt since. If we get anything close to 30mill for this sulking, whining man-child we should all be dancing in the streets.
