Exactly, until he can go toe to toe with 6”4’ groks that come up for corners, he’s not ready for this league apparently, regardless what he might be capable of going forwards.Didn't he mention during his pressers it was more an issue of whether his current physique is suitable for the premier league? something Moyes has been known to be a stickler for in the past , not even slating him for it, just a preference he has regarding players
The players better at football you mean? They all get the opportunity, yet it's predictably the older players or players out of position every week. So it's not really the same opportunity.
I'd agree, if one of them wasn't Mykolenko, another Dwight McNeil (he's in form currently so I feel it's not super fair to put him in here, but you get my point I hope HC xx), or players didn't have to be slotted into awkward positions just because of their own opportunities. The players better at football you mean?
Mykolenko is a perfectly fine top flight full back.I'd agree, if one of them wasn't Mykolenko, another Dwight McNeil (he's in form currently so I feel it's not super fair to put him in here, but you get my point I hope HC xx), or players didn't have to be slotted into awkward positions just because of their own opportunities.
His replacements in the last few years have been the rotting ashes of Ashley Young, our best CB playing at LB and our best CM playing at LB - all makeshift non-full backs. Yes, he's better than those by proxy of being an actual left back. I'm not his biggest critic at all and I do agree with you, he's okay as a player, but he's incredibly limited and is backup quality at best for a PL team that wants to be on the up. We can probably give Aznou some game time, competition is a healthy thing to have.Mykolenko is a perfectly fine top flight full back.
He's not a world beater but he tends to make our team better when he is there.
He hasn't become smaller since Moyes bought him. Why buy him if that's Moyes' excuse?Didn't he mention during his pressers it was more an issue of whether his current physique is suitable for the premier league? something Moyes has been known to be a stickler for in the past , not even slating him for it, just a preference he has regarding players
Is getting games at all - U21s?...anythjngShould be given a chance.
Loads of hours on FIFA.Is getting games at all - U21s?...anythjng
We've not seen Aznou play at full back other than being very average in pre season friendlies. The wings are very competitive positions for us, probably the only positions we are strong in. He's just going to have missed to bide his time like everyone else. If he was better he'd be playing, managers dont sabotage themselves.I'd agree, if one of them wasn't Mykolenko, another Dwight McNeil (he's in form currently so I feel it's not super fair to put him in here, but you get my point I hope HC xx), or players didn't have to be slotted into awkward positions just because of their own opportunities.
Not to say he should have been playing at full back - but managers absolutely do sabotage themselves, all the time. They aren't perfect and constantly make mistakes, including about which players to play. We've not seen Aznou play at full back other than being very average in pre season friendlies.
