2025/26 Adam Aznou

There definitely appears to be a falling out behind the scenes and Moyes might not like his attitude.
Didn't he mention during his pressers it was more an issue of whether his current physique is suitable for the premier league? something Moyes has been known to be a stickler for in the past , not even slating him for it, just a preference he has regarding players

I think this is true and is why I definitely am not someone calling for him to start at LB. But it is funny in the context of his competition being Mykolenko who is hardly a unit.

Nicer thing to say rather than digging him out publicly for having a bad attitude.

It could be both. Moyes wants him hitting the gym, Aznou wants to play and maybe isn't putting in enough visible effort to be rewarded by Moyes.

At this point I expect one of them won't be here next season.

Don't care where he came from , I thought he had a promising cameo and should at least be given at least a couple minutes in a game even if it's on the wing if Moyes doesn't trust him as a lb yet
There hasn’t been many games were we have been in a comfortable enough position to be giving minutes out to players who the manger doesn’t deem ready.

Most of our games have been won or lost by small margins.

Moyes, and the board, are not going to want to miss out on placement prize money and a potential European spot because the manager gave out minutes to player who he didn’t believe were good enough.

Kind of ignores the fact that there's been multiple games where he could've gave mins.

Moyes will be held accountable for expected progress firstly, but the use of the options he has available will also be put to question. You aren't handing out more funds if you don't trust how they are being used.

Defo, but the process and pathway for it seems to be a mess. Aznou, Dibling and even George were clearly brought in with the expectation of them getting first team minutes (to varying degrees, but still). Moyes has then gone back on that (as he has with Rohl and even Patterson too - he was told in January that he couldn't be sold because he was first choice backup to O'Brien, only for Moyes to immediately use Garner instead). So they've now had a wasted year and probably are a bit pissed off which is bad a) for them, b) for our squad development and c) for our future transfer business.
If we were looking to bring them on I'm really not sure Moyes is the guy to do it tbh, we have seen his in game management and he doesn't like making changes unless he has too. Not just that but we have a relatively small backroom team and imo its not really setup to devote the time and develop younger players and focus on the first team, its Moyes, McKinnley, Irvine, and Baines the rest are just generic EFC staff. Part of me thinks they have been bought in for the next guy tbh.
