Transfer Rumour Aaron Wan-Bissaka

if we are buying old players I rather get Munoz

10million is still money that can be better used to buy younger and better like kayode who won't come cheap
Munoz is primarily a wing back though. Not saying he's unlikely to adapt but he works in a system. Plus you know its nailed on he turns into a cart horse as soon as he sets foot into the club.

Is it that bad?

Is he better than JoB and Patterson?

Would it mean JoB can move to CB and relegate at least one of the chuckle brothers of Tarkowski or Keane to the bench?

I know folk are hoping for an exciting young right back, but this is Moyes. He'd likely only bench them.

If we sign this fella it is at least a right back playing right back. Who knows, maybe we'll sign another right back so there's competition/cover/a successor for the next manager.

Hmm, nope, sorry, got excited, this is Everton.

We'll sign this fella and no one else for RB.

Funniest part is that the rumour mill is spinning this early - it'd be very Everton to get transfer in ASAP for the first time in a cosmic age, only for them to be Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Soucek.

Purely as a transfer in isolation of manager, £10mil for AWB is fine.

It's not a wow level signing but gives us a RB who wont give the opposition LW time on the ball and can get down the pitch better and faster than some expect. We'd also need a patient Aznou type to take over from AWB within 2 seasons.

However, its clearly a key position thats needed filling for years now.

Kayode, Wesley (Both rejected by our manager in Jan 2025), Palestra, Acheampong and Read would all be options that I could get behind.
I disagree it’s not fine for me, it’s a the fee and wage on a player who will leave on a free 3/4yrs down the line. If he was coming into be first choice then fine, but he won’t be and he’s not good enough for a team that wants to kick on. I’d rather us spend 10mil on a young RB as back and to coach him
Over the next few years, but we know that’s not Moyes

Great to see our dynamic global scouting team unearthing another gem.

Good times.
Yes, the good old prem experience caveat, washing over us like warm pee.

Who needs to find exciting talented players from across the world, when we can just pick up a couple from recently relegated teams, worked brilliantly for us up to now.

gana was relegated, as was jagielka.

:/
Gana was 1st or 2nd (behind Kante) for every metric a defensive midfielder could have, cost 8m, and wasn't 30 years old. In fact, we made a massive profit on him when we sold him to PSG, as he was still in his prime.

Jagielka was a defender/defensive mid who put in very solid performances over an entire season and didn't do much wrong, who also wasn't 30 years old.

I'd say both were good recruitment on our side, shockingly. :/

Arouna Kone and Antolin Alcaraz were also relegated if we're cherry picking like this?
