Ramsey had an amazing year at Arsenal until they bought Ozil then moved him around to accomodate old bugeyes. Would be an absolutely amazing signing for us but surely we wouldn't have much of a chance.

Yeah of course. That option involves him remaining at Arsenal for the next eight months though, and he risks getting injured during that period.
It's just like with Barkley, he could have waited a further six months and left on a free, but it seems all parties preferred a January move instead.
I'm curious where he would fit in to our system. What is Ramsey, he seems to me to be a mix of everything. Kind of like a better version of Tom Davies. IF we got him who would he displace?
)In certain games that would work. I'm thinking at home to teams that we know will park the bus. I'd like us to try Bernard, Gomes and Gylfi in some of those games with Bernard probably the furthest forward of the 3.If we suspend disbelief and imagine we could actually get him then this is the issue as I believe he is more a number 10 than an 8. But in saying that I wouldn't mind trying a Gomes, Ramsey and Gylfi trinity. (Sounds rude and strangely I'm not disturbed by it...)

He's not in the team though. So is Ramsey sitting on the bench?Erm.... tom Davies![]()
Not against buying Ramsey. But in the whole scheme of things, bearing in mind we also need a striker, another permanent CB and possibly even a replacement RB if Seamus doesn't get his form back, we only need to bring in one CM this summer. So it would have to be either Gomes or Ramsey. Both are top quality.

There was an article the other day stating Gomes is only here for the loan and there is no option to buy unfortunatly. He would replace Gomes, we have no chance of keeping him past the loan, imo.
I never said we shouldn't buy him. In fact I started the post with those exact words. What I don't think is that we should buy both him AND Gomes as I think it would unbalance the squad. One or the other. As I said, both seem to be top quality.I ageee with buying a striker first but also think that if we have a chance to buy a quality player that we wouldn’t usually, we must seize the opportunity even if it’s not a priority position. I mean if it’s a postition for example RB or CM as Ramsey is, a striker is number one priority but he do need a cm and RB imo and if we get the chance of signing a quality one we shouldn’t waste the chance to do so
