reckon he would of stopped Williams from saving the ball with his hand?

Obviously not, but I think he would of been able to do one of two things:

1. stop luke shaw attacking Holgate.
2. Provide a outlet in the space vacated behind shaw, I think Romelu done it a couple of times.

DCL was weak, he was isolated as a result of united pressuring our midfield/defence.

Is he still alive?
Hope so mate or we're wasting about 76k a week.

...I guess we're kinda doing that anyway, though.

Still think he should be given another chance, at least as a sub, especially with Geri gone. Could be a player that ends up going elsewhere and being boss for them. (Like Geri)

Said at the time, Lennon would of been ideal for that 1-0 United scoreline, still think Koeman got it horribly wrong with DCL.
With regards to Calvert-Lewin, yes with hindsight he did not perform well. However Koeman would have judged based on observing him in training and based previous performances that he could acheive what was asked of him. That he didn't while regrettable will prove important to Calvert -Lewin's progression. When you are introducing young players you have to allow them room to fail occasionally in the hope they will learn from the experience.

whilst I agree he would have been a better option that DCL ( so would Valencia and lookman tbf )the game should have been killed off way before DCL even came on, ross and rom where guilty of missing numerous chances on the counter

Of course, I didn't blame DCL, I thought he struggled. The blame lies with the manager, I thought lennon would of been a great outlet, if it was a forward coming on then lookman or Valencia should of been ahead of him.

its okay overall, im sure players, fans and the staff will learn a lot from this season.
