Aaron Lennon

I really don't get the whole 'snivelly' thing - I agree that Cleverley is clearly not up to the task for us - but still the whole name calling stuff is just unnecessary and annoys the hell out of me. I might be getting old...
I agree, however I don't think it's malicious mate.

Purely on a skill level though, he ain't up to it.

Thought he played a large role in the second half of 14-15. Came in and worked his socks off and kinda shamed a few of the other players.

Scored 1 in 5 last season which isn't a half bad return from a winger. 8 of his 25 league appearances were off the bench.

Maybe he's just a 'try hard' player with pace. I'll take it over players who don't work hard.

The conundrum is, do you stick with the skill full wingers who perform one in every 5 or Lennon who is probably the most consistent out of the lot but not as much productivity in the final 3rd(which is possibly a myth as he causes all sorts of problems).

I think he deserves a chance purely based on the form of the other 3.

If we start playing a pressing style, then I don't see how he'd be a bad choice over Mirallas and Del.

If he and Gana are the only ones pressing, then it's really kinda pointless. At worse though he'd work hard and track back.

Make Mirallas and Del subs that can possibly change the game on the hour if needed.

Exactly, Koeman says he wants to play that way and Lennon is by far the best option for that style, obviously doesn't do enough stepovers.

Lennon has probably been more productive than the rest in 2016.

I'd have thought he'd be a good option to come off the bench when we're winning.

Must be off in January - Koeman hasn't really given him a chance.

I thought he'd found a new long-term home here tbh, I think he's a cracking player. Sad that it doesn't look to be working out.

Hope he gets in and proves Ronny Koeman needs to have a re-think.
