Lennon isn't a sexy enough name to play for England anymore. Every little error he made would be hounded, unlike Sterling who could sit down in the opposition box for 90 minutes with his arms crossed like a petulant child and still be lauded.

He doesn't need to be, he has British Citizenship. He still can only play for the country he lives in. He couldn't have played for Scotland.

He was in our half just outside the centre circle when he read what the Stoker was going to do.He latched onto the ball and took it on a run that saw him shoot from just outside the penalty box ,a superb strike,a brilliant goal and what wonderful anticipation to start with .Take a bow Aaron Lennon.

Have a look at the replay and pause it when he starts his sprint. It really is incredible anticipation he had for that goal. Class.

Played really well again, been hugely impressed with him the last few weeks. Yesterday really needed him to stay on with another winger on the opposite side to stretch their defence, but alas... that didn't happen.
