no i didint choose kone ... kone choosed me
The 45 minutes he played against Arsenal on the left were the worst he's played in an Everton shirt. Much rather see Deulofeu on the left if you want to put both of them on the pitch at the same time. Deulofeu looks more like he can go past a man in either direction.Surely at some point we have to try Lennon on the left & delefou on the right. I keep hearing Lennon can't play on the left but can't remember him playing there so perhaps if he has it didn't work. Moving delefou from the right removes his early first time crosses which are very effective
Oooohhh, oh my.Only number I'm interested in is yours, sweetcheeks.
Fair point couldn't remember suppose they could also switch during games. Definitely need to try playing them both again particularly until niasse settles inThe 45 minutes he played against Arsenal on the left were the worst he's played in an Everton shirt. Totally agree with this, i cannot understand the haters for this lad! He gives his all in every game and as Dringo said, he runs at defences in the box! The only one who does that regularly is Seamus and he wouldnt go down in the box if the centre half shot him! Lennon gives us something nobody else does (as does Deulofeu) and as such i believe they should be entirely interchangeable depending on the opposition!did well tonight playing attacking and defensively ! never shirks the defending and for a little fella can hold of people quite well with his body ! most of all I love how he runs in the box at the oppostion with pace and can win pens ! did he win our last one in the prem when he was on loan ? our other players seem to struggle to put their foot between the oppostion and the ball and looked like theyre scared of getting a kick in the leg to win a penalty !
there's always one who tries to run down RM
What about Cleverly free, Besic 4million, Galloway 3milion, McCarty 13 million, Lukaku 28 million, Joel undisclosed,
Holgate who will be better than stones 2 million, Foulds 275,000 he may well be the best of our centre-halves.
Your McGeady and Alcaraz comparison to those other sighings looks like you are urinating in the wind

Personally think Martinez has an excellent record on first team transfers - your post implied that he has a 50/50 success rate (which in itself is better than a lot of managers) but in reality it is much higher especially when transfer fees are considered as so far all his expensive signings have been excellent. Kone is the only one most people judge as a failure that we spent money on and not only did he have an awful injury but I still think he's better than Anichebe who we effectively swapped him for. We'll only be able to judge how good some of the youngsters are in the future but so far initial signs are encouraging. Its not about running RM down or urinating in the wind. The post I quoted used 3 signings to proclaim RM as good at transfers. I only offered 3 signings that suggested that he's (like most managers) not without his own weaknesses in that respect.
Of your list:
The first 5 absolutely agree assuming a) Besic can stay fit, b) Galloway continues to develop - after a great start covering for Baines he's now 3rd choice!
Joel - Undisclosed fee makes a judgement difficult but we've yet to see a sustained run in the team and probably looks good at the moment because Howard isn't. Haven't seen him do anything more than what should be expected of an average keeper.
Holgate/Foulds - I hope you're right but thats some bold predictions. Any chance thats you trying to run up RM![]()
Anyhow we're off topic, thought Lennon wasn't going to be a particularly good signing when he came on loan but been impressed with him - offers a nice contrast in skills to those of Deulofeu.
Had in my head that he was injured a lot as well, not quite sure where I got that one from but (unless I have just cursed the poor sod) that doesn't seem to be true at all!If we're back on topic then i'm with you on that. Had low expectations of him based on not getting a game for Spurs then went to the Southampton game last season and was well impressed by his work rate at a time when he wasn't fully fit. Seems to play well when he's given a chance.
