he should start again against stoke, you play well you stay in the team should be the policy. as good as deulofeu is he should wait for his chance, use him as an impact sub if needed.

Totally agree and I absolutely love Del. Lennon has waited patiently and Del has been superb so far this season. I've said it a few times lately that it's a good time to give the kid a breather and Lennon is as fresh as a daisy.

did well tonight playing attacking and defensively ! never shirks the defending and for a little fella can hold of people quite well with his body ! most of all I love how he runs in the box at the oppostion with pace and can win pens ! did he win our last one in the prem when he was on loan ? our other players seem to struggle to put their foot between the oppostion and the ball and looked like theyre scared of getting a kick in the leg to win a penalty !

Del on the left lennon on the right for me against stoke

May be, but Cleverley was good tonight and looks a class act playing in that position. I' think he'll consider going with the same team on Saturday bar maybe one or two.

Baines I imagine will play instead of Bryan, who did really well tonight even so. Probably have to be Kone for Rom, hopefully Niasse could be fit to start but I doubt it.

Yeah well impressed with lennon tonight, no matter what the lad always puts a properr shift in and realy has got the right character out there, some of the lads could really do with taking note of his game, both him and barkley praising the defence aterwards was also a nice thing to hear!

Brilliant performance and he wasn't even blowing after the game, could be a big player for us in the second half of the season.

the lad always works hard though you have to appreciate it.

His link up play is excellent he uses his experience to a brilliant success, drawing fouls, drawing players out of position etc.

He fits in so well.

Shame he hasn't had more game time.

Starts on Saturday for me, with Cleverley on the opposite flank.

He actually plays so much like Pienaar, but just with more pace. A little less guile perhaps, but he has everything to his game and his defensive work-rate is top-notch, plus his experience helps.

Gives us a chance to get Del fresh, as well as bring Kev back into the fold. Said it before but Kev and Lennon are a superb wing partnership, especially on the counter-attack.

Another good performance from him. Won us a pen like he has done before and scored a very smart finish. Almost had another as well. His pressing was much appreciated and his link up play superb.

People questioned the signing and whilst Deulofeu is our best right winger, you've got to think we're pretty damn lucky to have Lennon in the squad, ready to step in. Top lad.

It is all about competition.
Deulofeu and Lennon are pushing each other very hard now. Neither can afford a poor performance.
I think Deulofeu needed a rest. I thought the spark had gone a little recently.
I think sprinters like these need to be rotated on a regular basis to keep them fresh and injury free.
I would play Del against Stoke. Lennon has now set the bar for him.

Well well he now needs to start the next game, this is great competition.

Only problem I have is that as Lennon/Deulofeu are pretty different, having a one or the other approach seems inherently limiting. I wish we could find a way to get them both in the team. Deulofeu did mention he wanted to play in the middle, like!

Play in the middle at the expense of who? Barkley cannot be dropped
