A Message from Bill Kenwright to Evertonians on the club website

If I was still at an age where Sesame Street somehow seemed plausible, you might've sold me...

Do you deny the fan-led vote for a new badge ever happened?

Also brings to mind the Hall of Fame thing from earlier, portrayed to show Kenwright as an egotistical man, even I was led astray until I researched the thing.

The Cult of Kenwright-Hate. It's very powerful. I'm just at a loss to explain why so many Evertonians are part of it.

The School of Science: the objective evaluation of things, so that we may improve them. At a fanbase-level, this isn't happening.

Are you telling me that, as chairman of the club, he didn't rubber-stamp that design before it was finalised? If he didn't then WTF is he playing at then being a chairman? Nobody in their right mind who cared for the club would let that just cruise on by them without having a final say so, no matter how you slice it, it was ridiculous.

If I want to opine on the merits, or lack thereof, of Kenwright I'll do it in the board thread but I wouldn't wait for me as there are plenty of others in there who have more stamina and/or desire than I. I applaud you all for your love of this merry-go-round but I couldn't be less bothered as my opinion's not up for debate, that's how firm it is.

I don't understand why you neglect to mention the fan-vote for the new badge and the reinstatement of the motto? This story has a happy end, why focus on the bad part at the beginning?

Kenwright says, "Thanks" and "Evertonians are special people".

Special people attack Kenwright.

Hey ho.

Kenwright takes the opportunity to jump in on work done by a charity merely affiliated to the club not funded by it.

People point out the use of said hijacking as a means to deflect criticism for underfunding the team.

Other people leap to Kenwright's support, because he's not that Tan feller lad etc etc

Apart from being skint, Bill is decent Chairman.

Imo he's not a decent chairman, but he's not as bad as many out there, and not as bad as certain people would pretend he is.

Nothing wrong with this for example at all, its a good thing, like when we won a load of awards that people slated for some reason...
But then there's Kings Dock and a lack of investment...
But then there's two quality managers (despite what some would have you believe) in a row.
Pro's and con's all round with Kenwright.
Some just see the negatives.

Bottom line we are far better than we were when he came, but with a good chairman would be far better again.
