Sad but very, very true mate. It's funny how many will willfully ignore that we went years without spending a pound but will lap that stuff up.

I presume you would of preferred we just spent till we went broke?
I presume you are at least happy with our massive debt that has been racked up by spending more than we could afford?

As for Daveks cliche, its idiotic and meaningless constantly regurgitated drivel.
We get the club the board, manager, staff, players and fans create.
That we don't have Messi is not the fault of a poster or a fan because he didn't rebel against board, possibly because they feel prudence in the accounts and progress on the pitch are actually not the worst balance in the world, possibly for other reasons that are different to your perspective. although I suspect when Moyes leaves the opinion will change because the circumstances will change.

Why try and pin our position on a fan that doesn't agree with you, its just plain scapegoating.

I'd prefer us to be able to run a city centre mega-store at a profit not a loss.
I'd prefer us to find people to manage our own catering and corporate offerings to maximise our take from it.

But we are a football club, not retail and catering experts. The reality is that many businesses make more money from outsourcing certain activities than they do trying to manage them in-house.

Wouldn't we all, but we havn't because our board isn't very good at their job.
Doesn't mean its a fans fault for not accepting the other side of the coin though. We could have QPR's owners ffs.

They are aspects of the football business. They have been since Bill was in the boys pen. Earl made his money in catering, our friend Green in retail and merchandising. Surely we could cut out the middle man with experts like these on hand?

If we don't manage them can you suggest what people actually do all day at GP?

Mate. If I hadn't just seen people overthrowing dictators right across the arabian peninsula and north africa I'd agree. But I have so I don't.

You get what your willing to put up with. If a majority of Man Utd fans had been so disgusted with the glazers they all left and formed FC United of Manchester then within 5 or 10 years that club would look very different and FC would be built in an image of what they want their club to be.
