We need more away fans.
Totally changes the atmosphere most of the time.

That's what I was sort of thinking. We're filling Goodison every game, so near enough 39k, then a waiting list of 10k for season tickets, that's 49k, then a percentage of that 52k we have to give to away fans, makes you wonder if we could have gone to 55k now with the premise to expand to 62k if needs be.

I’ve just pretty much said we should do this lol

I can just see us winning the league and them holding back the trophy because some teams have a bigger stadium capacity than we do.

There's more to capacity than just the amount of seats, the transport infrastructure and the increased costs all round. A decent well designed stadium can be made with expansion in mind for a later date. Investors won't back any plans that are likely to stretch us and having to build stations and new roads and the increase in building costs will scare them away.

The most important part for the owner is probably that we will be able to take advantage of corporate seats. Which will in real money terms bring in far more money than we get now.

Our future is bright, we have a fantastic owner and very little debt on the books unlike some other clubs I could mention.

Are you sure about that ? Them figures you've quoted just don't seem to add up, 20% rise in costs for a minimal increase of 3'000 seats seems an awful lot. I'm no expert like but can you explain that or give me a source.

I'm pretty sure that Dan Meis has said that the last 10,000 seats in a stadium are the most expensive to build, least popular and bring in the least revenue.

Makes sense to me. The extra seats are all high up in the sky. It seems obvious that lower tier seats are going to be cheaper to build those than in upper tiers.

Personally, I hate sitting in upper tiers. The atmosphere is poor and detached. The view is like watching subbeteo. I'd honestly rather not go to the game than have to watch it up in the heavens.

Sums the club up.

10,000 less seats than what 90% of the fan base wanted.

Totally embarrassing. Why build a new stadium that leaves you at around tenth in capacity in the prem.

That means 9 teams can out perform you in Revenue streams...

Already behind in the game

Totally Everton.

Well in
