The issue is our identity was needlessly diluted here for "commercial reasons." That's not acceptable. And you just know they wouldn't pull off this stunt in the all-hallowed Premier League that they are so desperate to merely exist in.

Didn't mind the kit, better than some others we have, wouldn't be buying it though.

I'd be more concerned about our current form, getting knocked out of the cup, having a threadbare squad, having strikers that can't score and going another year without a trophy than getting too worked up over a kit, saying that it should be blue at home but won't be losing sleep over a kit

It's a decent enough kit, just a wrong time, wrong place type of situation. I do like a dark blue or black top and would be happy with any of the below, just not at home.

Nice kit. But it’s the sort of commercial thing people will either buy or simply roll their eyes and ignore if you are sitting comfortably in 3rd and have smashed your way through the CL group stages.

Only way it should have seen the light of day this week, especially at home, is if they’d very quickly pivoted and said all proceeds go to Alder Hey.

Someone had an idea and either no-one put any actual thought into how it would be received, or they did but were fearful of saying anything. Probably the former.
