4th Kit

What do you think of our 4th strip

  • Looks like we are in mourning for our lost season

  • It is now cursed

  • Looks all right

  • Can’t wait to sell my kidney to buy one

I'd love to know who specifically we have to thank for that decision.

Acting on the request of some gormless Kopite from Ambulance Chaser Co Ltd no doubt.

Cameras facing away from the city; getting Everton to play in a 4th kit at home in an important cup tie.

Who the weakling is at that club going along with their demands is I dont know.

bore off its Every thread with your anti everton agenda

This is a tiny thing in the great scheme of things, but it is symptomatic of the thinking at the club.

No full backs, no likely movement in the window, but let's roll out a new fourth kit that dilutes our identity in the cup. We just don't take the cup seriously as a club. Would they have even considered this in the league?

In a way, it sums up everything that's wrong with the modern game - not just at Everton, but in general too.

It's the FA Cup, the oldest tournament in the world. One of the oldest clubs is playing the first FA Cup tie at their new ground. The game has already been switched - like almost all games - from the traditional 3pm kick off. And yet some nob thinks it's a good idea to invent a whole new away strip, half way through the season, and use it for this home game.

Of course, times change, things move on, but this is just trolling the core fan-base of a working-class, local, community based club.

Nice colour though.

It's always good for the fans and the sport in general when a club introduces another kit when the season is half over. To wear it at home as well is one of the most thoughtful things the club has done for the fans in recent years due to it giving so many a chance to see it when there is so little football on TV these days.

It was a strange thing to bring out a 4th shirt for a random cup tie, especially when we had our last ever game at Goodison or the first game at BMD that were both big moments in the history of the club and they never thought it a good idea to do it either of those games. I think they missed two very good opportunities to come out with a shirt that folks would have been ready to buy as a souvenir of those days.
