4th Kit

What do you think of our 4th strip

  • Looks like we are in mourning for our lost season

  • It is now cursed

  • Looks all right

  • Can’t wait to sell my kidney to buy one

Come on, only tweeerrrps would buy it. Mind you my RS friend has 16 pairs of trainers. I have an Everton sweater from the 1970s or was it 60s? Still serviceable although my youngest son refuses to wear it.

Our first fa cup tie at the new ground and we are wearing some random 4th kit as a commercial gimmick

Says a lot about where the clubs priorities are

It's a microcosm of the attitude the club has to cup ties.

Contrast that with the fans, who take them very seriously and see them as a lifeline.

It’s not just worn in a galling FA Cup defeat - the women are currently wearing it in a forgettable, routine away defeat at Manchester City, too.

Penalty surrender pink and blue.

Like the warm up stuff for this, the kits meh, that should have been one of the 3 kits, no need for a fourth.

They can’t even stock the ground for food and drinks adequately for a cup game ffs, or be ready with transfer targets for when the winter window opens - small time priorities.

Even this lot are keen to distance themselves from the mad decision to play in a 4th kit and allow Sunderland to play in their home kit.

You know it's a bad decision when that criticism happens.

And their criticism is incorrectly aimed, too. They are blathering on about it being "too close to Christmas" - but that's not the big issue here. Nobody is forced to buy this tat. The issue is our identity was needlessly diluted here for "commercial reasons." That's not acceptable. And you just know they wouldn't pull off this stunt in the all-hallowed Premier League that they are so desperate to merely exist in.
