It's not a great way to keep moderates moderate by imprisoning a political opponent. Dems, as usual, are their own worst enemy here(TBF Republicans are just as stupid). The best way to beat Donald Trump was to marginalise him NOT to make him front and centre of the entire campaign. Dems had him marginalised after J6 and he was kicked off Twitter. But no, that wasn't good enough for the Dems. Democrats had to try and utterly destroy him.
No matter the verdict of this trial the campaign is now about Donald Trump and pretty much only Donald Trump. Well done Dems, give yourselves a big feckin cheer. You are repeating just about every 2016 campaign mistake all over again.
