Oh Lol, what an idiot. Fair play to him for committing to the bit though, some people wouldn't make such a fool of themselves for money, let alone for free on a forum

His whole schtick is to vacillate between the "reasonable adult" who just seeks some dialogue (the cringey statements like "thanks for your reasonable reply...") and then coming up with trolling dumbassery because he actually represents the latter. And believes in anti-semitic tropes like "deep state."

That's why you should put him on ignore. Assuming he's an adult, you can't be engaging with a grown man who uses the term "deep state" unironically, a tremendous waste of your time

Well, beyond even that surface level stuff, Biden has obviously a stratospherically higher baseline of intelligence. He's a smart man who says stupid things, Trump is a profound moron who says stupid things. Biden surrounds himself with competent people, Trump hires sycophants who tell him he's great, and they are almost all, to a man and woman, crazed loons with absolutely no ability to do the jobs he gives them
As always I appreciate your candor.

How any semi-intelligent person can look at Donald Trump and see that he is anything but an absolute moron, completely devoid of the ability to question, think, yearn for a greater understanding, etc, etc, etc. is beyond me. He's the type of stupid that makes people get dumber just by listening to him. His voice is fingernails on a chalkboard. Beyond nauseating

This is telling imo…Not enough time is spent actually discussing and debating policy these days.

I absolutely agree with the bolded, but am more than a little skeptical of the poll.

If I’m being perfectly honest, I’d fall in the last of the three groups. Neither administration’s policies affected me in a significant material way. However, it’s important to qualify that statement by pointing out that I am a straight, white male who grew up in a middle to upper middle class household. That’s not peak privilege, but it’s pretty close, and as such, I’m somewhat insulated from the biggest fights going on at the Federal level. Local policies affect my day to day SIGNIFICANTLY more.

However, even if Trump’s policies didn’t harm me all that much, his administration is also the reason that every single woman in my state lost the right to choose last year, and that gay marriage is next on the agenda. So he certainly made life in this country worse for a lot of people in my life. For those reasons alone, I could never, ever, ever consider casting a vote for him.

Considering how well documented it is that lower income Republican voters time and time again vote against their own economic interests because of social issues, I also don’t think it’s particularly far fetched to think they would also respond to this poll by claiming they had been helped by policies that were demonstrably harmful to them.

Along these lines, this is a very good interview...

Excerpt:
"There was an an interesting study that we cite in the book that found that there were three things that really determined whether a rural area was going to be able to prosper economically: Do you have strong schools? Do you have good broadband so that businesses that rely on so they can prosper and flourish? Do you have access to contraception so women don't have to have babies before they're ready? If you have those three things in place, then your area can prosper. And those, of course, are three things that Republicans are undermining."

Just voted in our primary.
I'm un affiliated/independent which in MA means I can pick a dem or gop ballot.
So basically in this wacky system where my vote doesnt count on the federal stage,
I had a choice between voting 'none of the above' on the dem ballot to protest US involvement in Gaza
or Nikki Haley on the Rep. one to try and slow Trumps roll.

I went for the dem ballot.

Such a strange system!
