oh yea, gotten plenty of 'It's not a democracy, it's a republic' when trying to point out where the democratic process can be improved,
as if the two are mutually exclusive!

SCOTUS also doing a great job pushing his presidential immunity trial back
His judge in FL is doing a great job pushing the trial about documents back.
Turns out shamelessly stacking the courts has benefits.

The writing of another Trump term is on the wall. Something needs to change quickly, but I’m not sure what at this point beyond something shocking that can’t be foreseen.

A lot can happen between now and the election tbf, but the Democrats do seem to be doing everything in their power to ensure the deranged clown gets into office

I'm more concerned about presidential immunity than the inevitable CO decision.

I dont think the dems should do it.
But I also dont think McConnell should have delayed Obamas pick for nearly a year.

Thats why I said library book to a gunfight.
If Republicans are going to use those tactics, so should dems.

Also, why would it be the end of the republic? the number of Justices has been changed 6 times in the past.

For what it's worth, the supreme court should have term limits.
and in a more controversial take, the senate needs huge reform or to be abolished.

Those changes in SCOTUS justices were down to political partisanship. The last time being in the wake of the civil war when the Republic had only been prevented breaking up at the cost of hundreds of thousands of lives. Secession was not going to happen as the US landmass was literally still covered in Civil War blood. 150 years later and states are more likely to secede or seriously consider it. If the most powerful President of the last century, FDR, couldn't do it, Biden almost certainly won't. States will see it as a serious erosion of their rights. If packing the court doesn't result in secession it will at least result in the Republic as we know it hanging on by a thread. Chances are a number of states will attempt to go it alone.

Mad how Orange Shitler is less than 4 years Biden's junior and makes easily as many, and far more egregious gaffes, and talks utter gibberish fairly regularly, yet hardly anyone thinks his age or cognitive abilities are an issue.

Well, beyond even that surface level stuff, Biden has obviously a stratospherically higher baseline of intelligence. He's a smart man who says stupid things, Trump is a profound moron who says stupid things. Biden surrounds himself with competent people, Trump hires sycophants who tell him he's great, and they are almost all, to a man and woman, crazed loons with absolutely no ability to do the jobs he gives them

A moral issue? So, if my lifestyle or political beliefs aren't approved by, say, Eminem I'm morally wrong to play his music? I dislike the views and lifestyles of many artists, it doesn't stop me enjoying their output. Heck, if right wing pols were limited to using only music approved by the artists all you'd hear at right wing events was the music of Ted Nugent, Alice Cooper and some Christian rock. No thanks. Rally's are about energy, any relevant music outweighs the 'feels' of the creative artist.

Another option would to be to push for statehood for DC and PR, likely giving them 4 more senate seats and a good majority when it comes to seating Justices.

Statehood for DC possibly ends the Republic too. You are simply packing the Senate this time instead of packing SCOTUS.

Right, I'm not saying either is preferable.
I'm just pointing out that the republicans stacked the supreme court already and the dems just sit back and do nothing.
Hard to win against a party with zero morals.
