Basically deciding whether I'll stay up late or go to bed and get up early like 5am

We stayed up for the Trump win election - never again. Was horrific

It's more of a case that most people who are think illegal immigrants should be given a chance don't actually think what it actually entails and aren't willing to stand up to their beliefs.

I remember back in 2016 I was debating one of my good friends was at med school in John Hopkins, who happened to be sympathetic to the illegal migration in the US and demanded some of them should be given amnesty. It wasn't until I told him he should give up his med school spot to one of these illegal migrants that his entire argument went out of the window. It became a case of "Why should my privileged ass suffer but the disadvantage working class Americans must suffer"

That's because you are using a very basic , simplistic argument...maybe you could try using a more intelligent argument? Just an idea for you

I think some polls as early as 6PM ET, but they aren’t states that are expected to be competitive. Assuming you’re in the UK, 5AM would be midnight ET, which is as early as I’d expect to really start knowing anything. I’d plan on the early wake up if I were you.

Giving immigrants a chance does not entail giving up your med school spot. I mean, he is already in med school and the other person is not even entitled to enroll

How many undocumented migrants or asylum seekers crossing the southern border are doing so to enroll in medical school at Johns Hopkins? Zero? None?

Perhaps that was his point? That a medical school student won't be competing with immigrants to get his job or his housing, but the disadvantaged will.
