Now i actually have no time for Trump but in what is supposed to be a current affairs forum, i think people should be allowed to have pro Trump views without being subjected to belittlement and harassment.

The current affairs forum here has the potential to be a place for intelligent and respectful debate, instead it's been hijacked by a cohort of far left nutters who have no time for an alternative viewpoint, and who wish to forcibly ram their opinions down peoples throats.

GOT in general is a brilliant online community, but it's current affairs forum is mainly inhabited by some seriously deranged and deluded individuals imo.

We are all still waiting for this intelligent debate from the right. What we keep seeing is continuous posting of links to right wing twitter accounts, espousing insane theories; numerous comments with obvious racial undertones; excuses and mental gymnastics to justify some of the deranged stuff and dangerous rhetoric that trump keeps saying and topped off with unfounded claims that trump is winning in various states.

Your logic doesn't work because the audience of that joke being made by the Mexican was predominantly white so it's a "racist" joke made to entertain white people.

Again, I don't expect an American sucking off a fascist nation like Ukraine in their bio to understand much.

Spot on, if you examine certain threads and certain posters activity on those threads, it becomes alarming, most disturbing one I saw was one poster with over 4,000 posts out of around 38,000 on the thread in total.

That's an obsessive level of activity on just one thread - it rounds out at about 4.2 posts on average per day for nearly three years straight.

Needless to say that thread has zero respectful debate allowed.

I just judge on the post I'm reading mate, rather than a history in other subjects mate, I've even liked a Zat post once (maybe) hell i even liked a post from Spadge yesterday.....

Good tactics at last by Harris to tell undecided's to watch the Madison Sq. Gdn rally.

If that doesn't turn them off him they're unreachable.

And good to see CNN shutting their echo chamber yapping up too and allow a lengthy segment of Trump's speech to be broadcast live.

Sometimes less is more in broadcasting and politics.

My main issue with being able to take the Trump is the new Hitler and Kamala is amazing seriously is the following.

I have eyes and ears, and Harris is in no way impressive, this is a party that had Kennedy (both) and she sat there serving a guy with dementia insisting he was currently the sharpest mind she knew, and the best person for the job right the way through. So one she's either lied consistently about the state of his mental capacity or two she genuinely believes that - both massive red flags as to her.

Trump being the new Hitler, it falls down badly on one very important factor, he's been the president before, I didn't witness any fascist policies, in fact nothing of the scaremongering about what he'd do from the first time came to pass.

So again, as an outside observer not personally invested in the USA, what exactly is it like, and why is trump the devil and Harris the only hope?

I'm half expecting a middle finger response rather than any attempt to explain.

There are a litany of reasons why our political discourse has arrived at this point, the beginning of which started 25 years before Trump's rise. Trump just set fire to the hot embers. It's beyond comical at this point. If you "haven't witnessed any fascist policies" at this point, explain to me how we are supposed to have meaningful debate
