I just judge on the post I'm reading mate, rather than a history in other subjects mate, I've even liked a Zat post once (maybe) hell i even liked a post from Spadge yesterday.....

That's fair, just offering a potential reason for what might seem a bit of reactionary response.

Now i actually have no time for Trump but in what is supposed to be a current affairs forum, i think people should be allowed to have pro Trump views without being subjected to belittlement and harassment.

The current affairs forum here has the potential to be a place for intelligent and respectful debate, instead it's been hijacked by a cohort of far left nutters who have no time for an alternative viewpoint, and who wish to forcibly ram their opinions down peoples throats.

GOT in general is a brilliant online community, but it's current affairs forum is mainly inhabited by some seriously deranged and deluded individuals imo.

Plz name and shame this cohort for the betterment of the forum.

If not I shall start a thread on cabals and cohorts ruining GOT.

My main issue with being able to take the Trump is the new Hitler and Kamala is amazing seriously is the following.

I have eyes and ears, and Harris is in no way impressive, this is a party that had Kennedy (both) and she sat there serving a guy with dementia insisting he was currently the sharpest mind she knew, and the best person for the job right the way through. So one she's either lied consistently about the state of his mental capacity or two she genuinely believes that - both massive red flags as to her.

Trump being the new Hitler, it falls down badly on one very important factor, he's been the president before, I didn't witness any fascist policies, in fact nothing of the scaremongering about what he'd do from the first time came to pass.

So again, as an outside observer not personally invested in the USA, what exactly is it like, and why is trump the devil and Harris the only hope?

I'm half expecting a middle finger response rather than any attempt to explain.

Why do you want someone on a football forum to explain it to you? There's a wealth of information out there...on a very basic point has this many high profile republicans supporting the democrats happened before? If not why not

somebody says I’ll be a dictator but maybe only for a day , that the democrats are ‘the enemy within ‘ specifically calling out Schiff & Pelosi as sick and bad . Then saying this about them ,

“It should be very easily handled by, if necessary, by the national guard, or if really necessary, by the military, because they can’t let that happen.”

when that’s walked back by surrogates trump doubled down.

When 13 of his former aides , not opponents former aides call him a threat to democracy , when his former chief of staff calls him out as a fascist and talks of trumps admiration for hitler .

When the former chairman of the joint chiefs of staff says trump is ‘fascist to the core ‘.

All this happens but we’re suppose to believe this person , as described in his own words and by those that know him isn’t that person ?

Also Harris never called trump the new hitler although he unsurprisingly is lying about that being the case she said

"It is deeply troubling and incredibly dangerous that Donald Trump would invoke Adolf Hitler, the man who is responsible for the deaths of six million Jews and hundreds of thousands of Americans. All of this is further evidence for the American people of who Donald Trump really is."

Which also doesn’t feel controversial.

Yes, it does seem that any right wing view does get attacked and bombarded, but when you consider the vast majority of people from Liverpool are labour voters, it may just be a reflection of the numbers in that one right wing voice is met is 10 left wing voices. So when a lone voice is suddenly having to explain their stance to 10 different people, all taking the conversation in 10 different directions, it can be a very difficult place for that voice to be heard properly. When people like Pete blue share their views, I respect that a lot, whether I agree with him or not. When people go around just posting middle fingers rather than engaging/ignoring, not so much.

But when it is just trolls/bots like Emir,dyslexicblue or that one that used to be in the Ukraine chat, I have no issue with them being belittled

How on earth have the Democrats overseen this? Still within the margin of error and I wont at all be surprised to still see Harris the victor in 8 days time, but that nut case Trump should be nowhere near the WH.

Harris and Walz have been appalling. Amateur hour. Getting their backs slapped by fawning celebrities, culture war focussed and remaining in Biden's shadow was never a wise combination. Harris was the wrong choice to be candidate and this is a self inflicted wound.

I still haven’t seen a good explanation for the last minute Trump surge… other than “Kamala sucks”. I mean, we did see her completely fade in the ‘20 primary, but that happened much sooner and after some early results.

Probably market manipulation, but Trump appears now be a slight favorite, like 60%. Whereas, after the 1st debate, he was at 40%. It flipped when Elon got more hands on, but I don’t think he carries sway with minority male voters that Trump needs.

I still think it’s basically a coin flip.

Errrm mate, asking a person the very valid question to explain what it's like then when they've literally just said "you don't know what it's like" on a prior post - sorry not sure why you got your knickers in a twist over that. Pretty sure the lad can speak for himself.

As to your own question I could be a nob and tell you there's a wealth of information out there, why you asking someone on a footy forum for an explanation. But that would me deliberately being a bell.

So I'd wager it's because by and large a lot of the established republicans hate trump as he's not one of them (the established party grandes) but an outsider who took over the party in essence
