I think that getting the moderate swing voters may be more important because they’re more likely to live in the states that matter most. Even if it costs her some of the far left votes, those people would be more likely to be living in deep blue states where she’d just be running up bigger margins. I know there will still be some people who sit out in protest, but surely most people will take the lesson from 2016 about what doing so could lead to.

TBF I don’t think he necessarily would, at least compared to the alternatives. A lifetime politician is not what the ticket needs; they need a military veteran with a record outside of politics. That way that might pick up a lot of “a plague on both their houses” types.

If it costs her far left votes then those far left would be voters are all talk. Not voting means more chance of Trump. Put up or shut up would be my message to them. But that’s probably why I’m not a politician.
