This is the first time I have watched an RNC but did so as a result of the weekends assassination attempt, not out of support, more so a curiosity as to what is going on with these people and their reactions. I have come away thinking they are nuts.

I would have expected the assassination attempt to bring in record breaking figures as I am sure that outside of the core vote there will have been many like me, but the figures don't look so great, all things considered. I wonder if this is indicative of the public mood.

Are you living in 1986? Traditional TV viewership is declining. Folk watch on new fangled devices such as mobiles and tablets, and on platforms such as X and the YouTube. I watched part of Trump's speech on YouTube. I would rather inject myself with a pint of aids than watch substantial parts of a political convention on television. I say that as a supporter of Trump.

It's weird.
I think the republicans aren't making as much of it as they could be.
Probably due to the fact that the kid was a republican with a clear mental illness who had no problem getting his hands on a semi automatic rifle. Which is kinda what they want.
