Not watching the acceptance speech. Two Trump voters in 2016 and 2020 have texted me tonight saying, effectively, "and the Dems are worried about Biden? Trump tonight is nothing but a replay of the tired hits that didn't sell in 2020. Boring."

Think the Covid diagnosis is the first step of his withdrawal. He'll be seen as valiantly fighting the virus but couldn't carry on rather than the confused old man being shepherded off stage.
doubt it.
He still has to govern.
He'll have some statesman like speech about the dangers of Trump and that a new young front is needed to carry the torch etc.
What ever happens over the next week will define his legacy
He wont want that to be weak.
To be honest, I dont think him quoting stats skewed by covid really works.
I dont think it works when either side do it.
GOP - under Trump gas was a buck fifty
Dems - yeah well 2.9m jobs lost.
I kinda feel like they are taking us for chumps.

Is that what we are doing now, memory-holing COVID. We've gone from COVID controlling every aspect of our lives to forgetting it existed. Especially noteworthy from a Governor who shut everything down he could, from outdoor skate parks to public beaches.
I defo realize that. Was just chucking it up here on the boards, so to speak. Was gonna write something along those lines, and also mention that the stats fluctuate over time, but the narcissism, nepotism, racism, and corruption was the only constant during Trump's era.

Also what's newsome at with the coal stats. Is he trying to out republican republicans?
Mostly just that Trump made a big deal about coal as one of the American jobs he could save, and made an especially big deal of it in West Virginia. But as always, he didn't deliver (not that it was entirely his fault).

I see crowd strike have screwed up bigly. This is the same group responsible for Russia hacking the DNC emails story a few years back. Dems just can't get anything right these days.
