Yeah, thats why so many are angling for Biden to step down.Unless Biden steps down, I stand by my assessment.

There could be a case for Gretchen Whitmer on a ticket.Ah, of course. Who's proven themselves not to be a knobhead and has enough charisma to energise a democrats party that seems a bit down on its luck?
You may do as you wish. Obviously.Unless Biden steps down, I stand by my assessment.

I simply pointed out recent history is full of examples of conventional wisdom 4 months out from the election being wrong.
Am skeptical this is true but guess we’ll see
Let's be clear, there are no Republicans any more...
It's Always about the 'Floating Voter' not the 45(?)% of either faction who never, well hardly ever...we shall see in November, when the actual votes cast are finally counted...who change their minds...Trump will not get more votes than he did in 2020. He just won't. There is nothing to suggest he will. He has done nothing to expand his base. His true believers and those who simply want power are the same as they were 4 years ago.
Now with your second point, yes that is a concern. But even Democrats falling apart are going to vote for whoever the Democrat is that is ultimately against Trump.
This is true, we saw it in the UK recently...in a different context due to different voting systems...with the 'Stay at Homes'The bigger concern is people just throwing their hands up in the air and staying home in 2024. That's bad for Democrats. Which is why we need to get this nominee situation resolved as soon as possible.
