It's an absolute damning indictment of the Democrats that Biden has made it this far. Neither candidate are fit for office (Biden through fragility - Trump for numerous reasons)

I said it before that the GOP has picked the only Candidate that Biden could actually beat. Democrats have picked the only candidate that Trump could beat

Any other notable Democrats would have wiped the floor with Trump last night. Trump had a poor performance but Biden had one of the worst performances in history.

Democrats could still win this if they pulled the plug today and maybe Newsome started campaigning now. But they won't.

Im no fan of the tories but when they lose it doesn’t feel like Sunak will launch what’s effectively coup to stay in power or openly talk about being a dictator whilst starmer is at best underwhelming and often a bit evasive but He does at least seem fairly coherent in the debates .

Sorry for repeating myself, but once again it’s a scandal that the top of the Democratic Party wasn’t purged after 2016. They are specialists in failure, the heroes of defeat.

Watch them now struggle on with Biden, insisting him (and they) are the only ones who can beat Trump, get past the point that Biden could be safely replaced and see him struck down by a medical episode.

For them to be riding high in early 2016 on the back of two Obama terms, and the GOP going all in on a candidate as despicable as Donald Trump and had the last eight years play out as they did has to be one of the most spectacular own goals in political history. Trump deciding to utterly abdicate any responsibility during COVID is basically the only reason they managed to eke out a win in 2020.
