Seems like he's been banging on about this for years.
In fact, I think it's the only thing he's consistantly ranted about. He's really motivated by the low water pressure crisis!

Seems to me that the dems need to push hard on how the separation of Church and State is mandated in the constitution.
It's easy to draw a line from the 10 commandments in classrooms in LA to the Dobbs decission and on to Alito agreeing that America needs more God in government.
Thomas and Alito will be replaced by 40 something year old conservatives if Trump wins and the SCOTUS will see to it that America becomes a Christian theocracy.

Dave, you're fixated on the war as if it's the be all and end all.
There isn't a thing Newsom would do different to Biden. There isnt a thing any democratic front runner would do. Sanders speaks loudly against the war but isnt a member of the party.
Then there's the tens of thousands of voters in Michigan who know little to nothing about Newsom, and why would they, he's the governor of a state over a thousand miles away.
Hows that going to help to beat Trump.
Biden has a problem with the Muslim population in Michigan but it's the same problem any establishment Democrat would have.
He just has to hope that enough people realize that the prospect of Trump is way worse for the Palestinians.

In Dearborn Michigan, the most Muslim-heavy city in the US (at 55%) Biden faired poorly (and lost to "uncommitted" voters in this city in the primary), so it will be interesting to see how they vote in the election. The latest 538 poll is basically a dead-even in Michigan.

If she were to successfully run one day she's have to so severely compromise her beliefs that I probably wouldnt like her. Tis a silly system!

I think, two points to make to this. One - it very much reminded me of the spirit, eloquence and timelessness of Lincoln.
