The first polls since Les Républicains nomination and Zemmour's declaration have Le Pen and Pecresse neck and neck for the second place. They are both at 17% in one poll, with Le Pen ahead by 4% in the other. Zemmour is trailing at 13-14%.

Both polls have all three candidates losing in run-offs vs the monster:
  • Pecresse loses with a vote share of 47-48%
  • Le Pen loses with 44-45%
  • Zemmour only gets about 39%
If you look at demographics, you see that Le Pen is the most popular candidate with voters aged 25-34 and working class voters. As you'd expect with LR, Pecresse is a narrow second place for voters aged 65+ (she's 3% behind Macron).

And Zemmour? There are no specific groups where he is the favoured candidate. His best numbers are with voters aged 50+, but he's still trailing in third place. He has to up his game for sure.

BFM are tonight reporting a poll showing Pecresse would beat Macron 52-48

That's an interesting report.
Only the other right wingers in the frame.
Socialists fragmented and nowhere.
Hidalgo 3%in first round???.

Melenchon still at 9%, but I guess a lot of the people who would back the PS are now switched fairly permanently to Macron whilst he is President.

Be interesting to see what happens if he lost though; you’d think the fakeness of his movement would become obvious and all those voters would be up for grabs again.

be funny if Macron doesn't make the second round, Pecresse v Zemmour should be cringe worthy

she’d probably smash him, 80/20 or something mad like that, the only people who’d be left with a reason to vote Zemmour would be the edgy types
Defo. But knowing his anti feminist stance, that would be similar to Clinton v Trump one, albeit with a different result

Un style presque Bolasie-sque! A new footballing star is born, as to whether he'll represent Algeria or his native France remains to be seen
