Yeah, Macron is centre right at the very least. He's awful. Left is really struggling in France, only credible left candidate is Hidalgo and is polling below %10. Sad.

Yes, it always made me smile when the media persisted in calling him a centrist.
All his reforms are based on right wing neo lib economics.
People I talk to have a low opinion of Macron. He has made things easier for the wealthy but done nothing for the average citizen.
Hidalgo is OK for Paris but not for the rest of the country.
After all she's at odds with the president of the Isle de France régional administration for a start.

The Les Républicains party (right-wing) have chosen Valérie Pécresse, current president of the Regional Council of Île-de-France, in the primary run-off to represent them in next year’s presidential election.
Right wing I put as she is an admirer of Thatcherite policies, it is stated.
This is the one who is at odds with Paris maire Hidalgo, particularly concerning public transport in the Île-de-France region.

I see she describes herself as one third Thatcher and two thirds Merkel…so she is at least one third right…..
 
French politics are nuts at moment and their crazy voting system lets people have a huge protest vote in first round but then do as De Gaulle said ' be sheep' and do what their told in second round by media :-) Macron is a dreadful President, the worst of the 4 i've lived in France for, despite "centre right" was part of the Hollande's previous government who were socialist ! The Rothschilds family said around 5/6 years ago he'd be the next french president and it happened !
Hidalgo is horrible person, I live in Paris and she's hated here for her crazy mental ideas that make no proper sense :-( Melanchon is like Jeremy Corbin so your pretty much left with Le Pen, not as crazy as her dad was or Pecresse and Zemmour :-( Zemmour i reckon will push people to go for Macron as the safe known pill to take and am sure lots of money will go his way after Macron's re-elect ! Same way how DSK suddenly had urges to attack maids when his known in France for paying top dollar for escorts for his "fetish" lifestyle when going for election during Sarkozy / Hollande era ? it ll be in 4 years time a Le Pen will get into power and she's the grand daughter of Le Pen Snr and she's as crazy as the grand father ;-(
