The key desire for a lot of voters seemed to be “Obama presidency 2.0”

I suppose there is some familiarity, but they would probably have been better off with asking Hillary to run again.

I know Obama 1.0 didn't actually work out very well, but at least Obama ran as the change candidate. Biden can't even change his clothes without help.

Still, there's time to change it and give Trump some competition or this will just be a walkover.

Imagine Biden picks Michelle Obama as his running mate and wins the election. Then during his presidency Biden is declared to be terminally ill/mentally unfit (I rather hope not, obvs), MO takes over. Game, set, match. Barack Obama becomes the First Gentleman. lol

Much as I like her am glad that is the case as not a fan of political dynasties. A family name has enabled far too many unqualified to achieve positions to which they are not suited to without “working their way up”.

Seems probable we are going to get at least one of the Trump kids Ivanka/Kushner/Jnr running at some point.

I feel the same about the dynasties. Joe Kennedy III is my congressional rep and overall he's a pretty good progressive-ish Dem. But he's also decided that he's got to contest the MA senatorial seat presently held by the very dependable Ed Markey (who's probably best known nationally right now as AOC's coauthor on the Green New Deal bill), and thus far he's been unable to make a convincing argument as to why we should choose him instead of the solidly progressive Markey.

I'd be pleased to never see another Kennedy, Bush, Clinton, or [clears throat] Trump [spits on floor] hold public office again.

Mate glad you heard it. Like kelly was a staunch socialist and has many tunes like that. Better than most of The touristy’ Irish folk songs they sang. That are popular.

Smart move. Biden needs to enthuse the democratic base and currently he doesn't - his only pull is that he's not Trump.

If he makes Sanders a key part of his team going into an election campaign then it gives him a whole new angle of attack.
