yea, the NY board of Elections made the decision but it's chaired by a democrat.
Either way, it was the right decision and Sanders looks a bit daft complaining about it.

I think the self interest in Bernie getting delegates so can influence the convention is a fairly big one as well tbh. Which I don’t necessarily disagree with tbf.
But since the convention isn’t until August think Sanders campaign would have been much better focusing on the “make it safe and by mail when NY over the worst” message buried way down in the 4th paragraph than the “outrage” and “Trump will use it” drama in the first.
Frankly just looks insensitive when New York is still being hit pretty hard and their systems and leaders are being strained.

Probably much the same as he did in 2016 - use it to get some of the nitty gritty election rules changed like when superdelegates get to vote or nudge the party’s stated policy platform to the left. Doubt anything as major as VP but could still be important even if only incremental change.
As I say I am sympathetic to that goal, just think they are going about it in a arrogant, tone deaf way.

I like to think part of the Twitter-based outrage may be coming from Sanders fans who tried voting for him in the 2016 primary only to learn too late that they had to be registered as Dems in order to vote in the NY Dem primary. This time they endured the mental anguish of registering Dem ("THEY'RE NO DIFFERENT FROM REPUBLICANS!!!") and voila, the carpet's been pulled from under their feet.

I know, but the New York board of Elections were within their rights to take anyone off the ballot who had suspended their campaign.
Trump wouldn't have a leg to stand on, especially in NY.
The only way he'll use this is to try and whip Sanders supporters in to an anti Democratic party frenzy.
He's being playing at this for months and that Sanders tweet just gives him more ammo.
Who is looking like the front runner to be Biden's VP? Personally think he should pick someone non white and go for an inter-racial ticket.
