It’s not an exact I told ye so but it shouldn’t be a thing to mention I’ll agree it is insensitive givin the subject and mentioning progressives is only going to inflame bias on the other side. but as I said he’s giving more empathetic videos on it but anyway.
And yes people are biased of course. One side should be shameful for revelling it as a political win and the other side should be for playing it down or ignoring it.
But there’s something there that needs to be gotten to the bottom off regardless. I know you don’t disagree I’m just saying.
For my part, I tend to come out to argue a point I think is invalid.
Biden is a creep. No argument. It's a problem. No argument. In any sane, rational, and just world he would not be a reasonable candidate for President. Man how I wish I lived in that world.
Trump is worse, on all counts, about everything. And in this one thing it really is about the lesser of two evils. Since YOU GET ONE EITHER WAY.

TBF it’s impossible to consider Reade’s account fairly via the media; the appropriate place for it is in a legal setting.
The fact that it is being dealt with in the media (and now), combined with the other factors (the way the allegation has developed, it not being reported at other times when it might have been expected to like 2007/8) makes it vastly more likely that it is a hit job - and I say that as not a fan of Biden.

Wasn’t sure if this or the POTUS thread was the right place for this, but what in the living **** is Justin Amash doing?!
That is one difference with the Kavanaugh hearings - whilst not in a true legal setting both accused/accuser testimonies were under oath.
And for me Kavanaugh clearly lied a few times, claiming the ”Renate Alumnius“ reference in the yearbook was to “show affection, and that she was one of us … It was not related to sex.” being a particularly pathetic one. That on top of his lies in previous portions of his confirmation (as ably summarized by Sen Leahy https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...75c740-b77d-11e8-b79f-f6e31e555258_story.html) and Ford’s convincing testimony made me believe that at the very least he should not be on the supreme court.
The changes in Reade’s account, whilst not uncommon in assault allegations, are questionable but I find third party contemporaneous corroboration like her neighbors account very persuasive. We’ll see if any other corroboration occurs, other accusations come forward (sadly these types of attacks are often a pattern of behavior) or if the sexual harassment complaint Reade says she filed with the Senate is discovered.
Interested to see if the current crisis leads to a return to governors being considered more seriously for the presidency. One can certainly see the effects of strong leadership (e.g. Washington state, California, Ohio, Maryland).
If Jay Inslee decides to run again you’d certainly presume his campaign will get a lot further.
What is he doing? Running for POTUS as an independent?

Probably gives Sanders more influence in drafting the party platform at the convention but other than that not much practical difference I don't think. But symbolically it might ease a few tensions.
