I can only say about everything I've been following recently , from an outside perspective.

As per above, I genuinely believe if the democrats had backed one candidate over the 4 years they would be ready to win the election rather than fragment themselves months before trump wins again.

I get why they want to stop trump. I don't fully agree but I understand why they oppose him so strongly. From my perspective , it seems they have forgotten to unite to offer an alternative that will win over the voters .

Highly recommend giving anomoly a watch. An American who talks about all sorts of things including politics , with an unbias presentation of the information .

Can't link the channel so here is a video on the subject .

cant check it out now but I will later.
It seems that the Democrats have united behind a candidate who they think will win over the voters.

alright, I took a quick look at a bit of it.
This guy doesnt identify as Liberal because liberal cities are full of filth, degenerates, and homeless?
He doesn't get why Biden is doing better with black voters than Sanders?
And as to his whole argument about a split party, that's what I've been trying to say, there was another way, a progressive who's not quite as far left as Sanders and who's actually a member of the party.
All that said, Biden will be uncatchable soon (will bernie go after superdeligates again :) ) and the party, including progressives will unite around him.
He might not be the candidate of choice for most but he'll have the full support of the party.

This makes a lot of sense.
I spent a lot of time listening to her thinking 'who's telling her to ham up the Oklahoma country girl' stuff.
She's a dork but a tough scrapper and we saw precious little of that in the campaign.
The Warren we saw tear Bloomberg a new one is the one I was used to. Too little too late I guess.
Consultants will have been telling her to soften herself. Same way they did with Clinton (although she probably followed the advice a little less).

And why? Because there’s a large number of people who have a very different view of a tough, aggressive, forthright woman than they do of a man with similar characteristics.

No, but to be honest nor should they. As much as I LOVE Ocasio-Cortez, she’ll be 34 at the next election. There’s some steps in there before she makes a run at POTUS imho
Not least of which is reaching the minimum age required to be president (35).

There's definitely a case for Sanders. What he's done is remarkable.
But at the end of the day, Biden managed to get endorsements from the other major candidates where as Sanders couldn't get the other progressives, Warren, Yang, Inslee and Steyer.
Why is that? you could say it's because he's being stabbed in the back but I think it's because he's made his name as a political outsider and it's tough to build coalitions when you take that stance.
This is very true - if you spend your career being obtrusive and divisive (regardless of the merits of doing so), don’t be surprised when moderates don’t come to your aid when you need it. It’s quite similar to Corbyn’s troubles over here as Labour leader - spent years voting against moderates in his party and was then shocked when moderates didn’t support him. It’s nearly impossible to get anywhere in politics being that way.
